Readiness NCO

SFC Tim Blackwell is the Full-time Readiness NCO for the 246 Army Band.  He joined the Band in 1979.  He earned his BA in Music Education from Newberry College in 1981.  After teaching public school Band in Spartanburg and Horry Counties for 6 years, he took the job as Readiness NCO in Active Guard and Reserve (AGR) status in 1989.  He is a trumpet player in the Band and also serves as Sound Technician.
